3. Miami Heat
Remember, we are looking at the best trade packages here. Two teams have emerged as the clear destinations for James Harden and we will go over them in the top two spots. If we are looking at returns for the Houston Rockets, the Miami Heat have to be involved.
Miami is coming off an NBA Finals appearance in the bubble and could be looking to add another superstar this offseason. If Harden is on the block, Miami has enough pieces to send Houston.
Jimmy Butler is the established NBA All-Star on the roster surrounded by young talent. The Heat would likely hang onto Bam Adebayo but Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, Kendrick Nunn, and draft capital would go back to Houston in the deal.
The Heat is apparently ready to make a run at Giannis Antetokounmpo in 2021 NBA free agency if he does not re-sign in Milwaukee. It is important to have a backup plan, just in case the Bucks do enough to persuade Giannis to stick around longterm.
