Zach LaVine is ‘most talked about’ name on NBA trade block

The Chicago Bulls made significant changes to the leadership of the organization during the NBA offseason. That could result in potential key players being traded— including swingman Zach LaVine.

According to Hoops Legion Ross, the ‘most talks about’ name on the NBA trade block has been LaVine.

It’s easy to see why NBA teams are intrigued by the idea of acquiring a talent like LaVine via trade. In addition to his high-flying athleticism, he has emerged as a legitimate playmaker and has refined his pull-up jumper— extending his range beyond the arc.

With LaVine under contract for just $19.5 million during the upcoming NBA season, he wouldn’t carry a heavy salary cap burden for a potential trade suitor— making him an all the more intriguing trade candidate for many teams.

The ideal scenario for LaVine appears to be a potential title contender with a primary playmaker making a trade to land him. LaVine has a skill-set that could co-exist quite well with a high-level playmaker that leads a respective team’s half-court offense.

It will be fascinating to see what the Bulls seek in return for trades involving LaVine. He is still only 25-years-old and will be an unrestricted free agent after the 2021-22 NBA season. Will Chicago be willing to hand out a massive contract extension to keep him long-term?

Zach LaVine is coming off a strong season with the Chicago Bulls— posting averages of 25.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.5 steals. It was by far the most robust single-season production he has posted during his NBA career.
