2. Devin Booker, Phoenix Suns
There is no chance the Phoenix Suns can let Booker go. He is a bona fide superstar who quickly became one of the best scorers in the league. His name has floated around trade rumors over the years. The Suns have gone back-and-forth between trading Booker or acquiring a star to pair with him.
If the Hawks were able to land Booker, they would have one of the best backcourts in the league. Atlanta has a run and gun style of play which would fit right into what Booker likes to do. They would be able to score at will.
Offense wins in today’s NBA and this move would give the Hawks an elite unit. Atlanta would have to give up a lot to acquire Booker. The Hawks would have to part ways with their NBA Draft pick along with a member or two of their young core.
This is an unlikely deal, but it is fun to think about. Booker is a player who needs to play for a contender. The world has been waiting to see him in the postseason and the Suns do not seem like they are the team to get him there. That, of course, is as of right now, although they did make an impressive run in the bubble.
