5. Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers

There is a new regime in Philadelphia. Doc Rivers is the new head coach and Daryl Morey is the new President of Basketball Operations. If either one decided to make a big splash deal involving Embiid or Ben Simmons, no one should bat an eyelash at it.

The experiment has failed and it is only getting worse. The Sixers have not been championship contenders even when they have been going for it. The front office decided to offer huge contracts to Al Horford and Tobias Harris, which led to letting go of Jimmy Butler.

It’s a complete disaster over there. Moving forward, it would be a interesting situation if the Sixers acquired the sixth pick in the NBA Draft from the Hawks to go with one of their two stars.

Something has to be done in Philadelphia and this would be a chance for the new President to make a big move. Keep an eye on them come draft night.
