Are they ruined? Of course not. Players bounce back all the time. Realistically, you need to look at the circumstances if you’re trying to project room for improvement.
Look at Jordan Poole of the Golden State Warriors. He just wrapped up a bad season. What circumstances led to that outcome?
Could his skirmish with Draymond Green have played a role? Who knows?
Alternatively, could it simply be that Poole wasn’t ready for the pressures that come with being a highly paid player on a contender?
