Why The Miami Heat Do The Deal 

Yes. If this deal is on the table, the Heat should take it. 

Fans of the team may have some reservations. Firstly, they may protest that they’re not getting enough draft capital back. Secondly, they could argue that Simons is not a good fit alongside Tyler Herro. 

Let’s answer those concerns. The Heat may not be getting a ton of draft capital back here, but they’re getting a pick that’s already conveyed in the lottery. They’re also getting a player who was just selected in the lottery in Sharpe. 

Finally, they’re getting a player who already looks like a star in Simons. Who cares if he fits with Herro? The Heat are in asset accumulation mode.
