Why The Portland Trail Blazers Do The Deal 

The Blazers are using the opposite logic as the Raptors here. They’re continuing to refuse to blow it up. 

Some would question their logic. People have been looking for Portland to waive the white flag for some time. With that said, perhaps they shouldn’t if Brown is available. 

Once again – this is a player who may make an All-NBA team this season. Brown is very good. He will make the Blazers better. If they can hang onto Jerami Grant in free agency, he could make them title contenders. 

He’s also a great fit alongside Lillard. Brown is a strong point-of-attack defender who can cover for Lillard’s limitations on that end of the floor.

He’s also an elite shot creator who can ease Lillard’s burden on offense. The fact that he could be available is almost hard to believe.
