In the NBA, players get traded for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes, it’s got nothing to do with their talent.
It may be that their team simply needs to make a change. Sometimes, a player is a casualty. They may not be the problem, but simply put, something has got to give.
Alternatively, the player could want out of town. The team may not want to trade them. If they’re vocal enough about their desire to move, they may not have a choice.
Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics may fall into that camp this summer.
Alternatively, Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves could fall into the former camp.
Could they get traded for each other this summer?
