Why The New York Knicks Do The Deal 

This is less complicated for the Knicks. They’re a win-now team making a win-now move. 

They’re getting the best player in this trade. Ingram may have roughly equal trade value by being younger, but at this moment, Davis is still the most impactful player in this trade. 

We think he’d make quite an impact on the Knicks too. Davis would be joining Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson to form an elite trio of offensive players. 

At the same time, he’d make up most of what Robinson offers on defense as well. All told, Davis is one of the better two-way players in the NBA.
