Why The Chicago Bulls Do The Deal
Well, this deal won’t make the Bulls better next season. They’re losing their best offensive player.
In the case of Robinson, it’s too little, too late. They could have used his rim protection while they were trying to contend. Without LaVine, it’s a moot point.
Still, it makes sense to acquire their next starting center. Robinson is still young enough to be part of a rebuilding timeline. Of course, he’s not the central return here.
That would be Barrett and the draft capital. If the Bulls see star potential in the recent lottery pick, they’ll be happy to add him to their core.
