Of course, the Atlanta Hawks may have similar regrets. 

This summer, they traded three first-round picks for Dejounte Murray. They’ve had similar struggles this season, too. If both of these teams could orchestrate a do-over, they may do it together. 

Should the Hawks have acquired Gobert? Would he have made for a more sensible pairing with Young? The two could be a dominant pick-and-roll pairing. Meanwhile, Murray’s poor shooting would be considerably less significant alongside Karl-Anthony Towns.

With that said, it’s too late for that do-over. Murray is younger than Gobert and having a better season – a straight swap isn’t viable. Meanwhile, both teams are too depleted of first-round picks to make a deal built around them.
