Why The Los Angeles Clippers Do The Deal

More than anything, the Clippers need a solution at point guard. 

The team seems to know that. They traded John Wall and Reggie Jackson at the deadline, and acquired Bones Hyland. If nothing else, they made changes. 

Whether those changes will suffice is another question. Of course, DeRozan isn’t a point guard. At the same time – isn’t he? 

In this position less league, who cares? DeRozan would be the best passer on this roster – that’s all that matters here.

The Clippers could run him at point, or simply cede primary playmaking duties to him. Either way, it would make for a roster upgrade.
