Why The Washington Wizards Do The Deal
Some Wizards fans will think they’re getting sold short with this deal. To be sure, Porzingis has been playing like a star this season.
Unfortunately, he comes with a litany of injury concerns. Porzingis has been hurt often enough that by now, general managers won’t have their fears relieved based on one healthy stretch.
Considering that, an unprotected first-round pick is a good value on Washington’s end. They may want to entertain moving Beal following this trade.
If they did so, they’d have a good collection of draft capital to use for a rebuild.

Don’t sell Trent Jr. short, either. At 23, he’s young enough to be part of a rebuild. He’s also got a valuable skillset – Trent Jr. can be a lethal shooter when he’s on, and he’s also got solid defensive abilities.
Should the Raptors really part with him?
