Why The Phoenix Suns Do The Deal 

For the Suns, this deal is about getting something for nothing. 

You may have noticed Crowder’s absence from Suns games this season. That’s because he’s requested a trade. At this point, rival general managers are well aware of that fact. 

That may impact Crowder’s value. The Suns are negotiating from a position of disadvantage. With that in mind, Hardaway Jr. would be a nice return in exchange for a player they aren’t even playing. 

In fact, Hardaway Jr’s movement shooting would be a great contribution to this team. He got off to a rough start in 2022-23, but lately, he’s turning it back on.
