When people envision a co-star for Doncic, they may not be thinking of Harris. 

Harris isn’t an elite offensive player. That’s fair. Realistically, the Mavericks may need a bigger fish to really play for the title this year.

At the same time, they’ll have to part with a lot to get one. They’re not giving up a ton in this deal – Bullock is in decline. Hardaway Jr. and a protected first-round pick feel like a minimal cost for Harris. 

After all, Harris is a player who can create his own shot when necessary. He’s also an elite floor spacer who’ll open up the floor for Doncic and a passable defender.
