Orlando Magic Receive: C Dwight Powell, 2025 Second-Round Pick (DAL), 2027 Second-Round Pick (DAL)
Dallas Mavericks Receive: C Mo Bamba
Frankly, Bamba hasn’t merely been underwhelming this season – his entire NBA career has been a little disappointing.
The idea of him remains enticing. Bamba has one of the longest wingspans in the entire league. The fact that he’s also able to space the floor makes him a hot commodity – even if his production hasn’t matched his potential.
After all, big men who space the floor and protect the rim are highly coveted in today’s NBA. If you need proof, just look out for the contract Myles Turner will receive in free agency this summer.
Yet, that skillset alone won’t yield results. Bamba’s defensive positioning is inconsistent, and his three-point shooting is even more so.
