1. Dallas Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks came into the offseason on a mission to upgrade their frontcourt. They accomplished that before free agency even kicked off, acquiring Christian Wood from the Houston Rockets. They wasted no time in free agency by adding JaVale McGee using part of their mid-level exception.
However, their roster was unexpectedly decimated when Jalen Brunson signed with the New York Knicks in free agency. Finding another ball handler is important for the Mavericks, but Dallas could also use another wing player to add to the mix.
Cam Reddish can help them fill their void on the wing. This is a deal that thrives when playing five-out around Luka Doncic, putting the ball in his hands and letting him go to work. Surrounding him with 3-and-D-type players is the best way for that strategy to find success and Reddish would fit the bill.
Depending on how things shake out in the backcourt, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Josh Green could be asked to handle the ball more. That will likely leave Reggie Bullock, if he isn’t in the starting lineup, as the only wing coming off the bench behind Dorian Finney-Smith, who could be the starting power forward.

This is a roster that is one more combo wing away from having a full rotation there. Reddish would provide Jason Kidd with that third versatile forward that can help balance out the roster. Bullock is the only player listed as a small forward on the roster currently as Dallas’ roster is loaded with big men but lacking on the perimeter.
