These 3 Teams Should Pursue Knicks’ Cam Reddish Trade

The New York Knicks are set to embark on what is a very important regular season. After earning the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference during Tom Thibodeau’s first season as head coach, they came crashing back to Earth last season, missing the NBA Play-In Tournament.

Looking to make sure that doesn’t happen again this season, the Knicks made some moves so that they were able to sign Jalen Brunson in free agency. He is a huge upgrade at the point guard position and the team also signed Isaiah Hartenstein to shore up the frontcourt.

The Knicks are certainly better heading into the season, but they could still use a move or two to alleviate the logjams on the roster. Right now, New York has too many players deserving of playing time but there aren’t enough minutes to go around.

One of the players who are vying for playing time but facing an uphill battle is Cam Reddish. Reddish was acquired last December by the Knicks in a trade with the Atlanta Hawks as he was seeking an opportunity for more playing time.

That wasn’t coming with the Knicks, who had RJ Barrett entrenched at small forward and Quentin Grimes emerging with the second unit. Reddish can play the power forward spot in some lineups but minutes there were scarcer with Julius Randle and Obi Toppin.

There were some rumors earlier this offseason that Reddish requested a trade from the Knicks, seeking a chance to play more. While he has denied that occurring and is working hard to try and earn minutes, a trade may be what is best for him.

Where could Reddish end up in a deal? Here are three teams that should pursue a trade for the No. 10 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
