After all, this team just acquired Patrick Beverley. Moreover, they just signed Dennis Schroeder – and Lonnie Walker IV before him. When you consider that they still haven’t addressed the Russell Westbrook problem, it’s fair to say that this backcourt is getting crowded. 

Even if they do trade Westbrook, they’ll need wings more than they need guards. Granted, Reddish is a risk. Realistically, this is not the solution most Lakers fans likely have in mind ahead of 2022-23. With that said, it could be a gamble that pays incredible dividends. 

In the event that Reddish finds his footing, he could be exactly what this team needs. A 3-and-D wing with secondary shot creation skills is exactly the type of player who should thrive alongside LeBron James.
