The 2022 offseason has been a relatively quiet one for the Milwaukee Bucks. They signed only one free agent away from another team, agreeing to a one-year deal with Joe Ingles.

Ingles is a solid addition to the roster should he be healthy enough to contribute. He is recovering from ACL surgery and isn’t supposed to return to the court until mid-December at the earliest.

If he will be making an impact for the team, it won’t be until the second half of the season. Other than that, the Milwaukee Bucks focused on retaining their free agents, re-signing seven players.

They will certainly have chemistry and cohesion entering the season, but they could use a little bit of a boost to their second unit. Acquiring Jordan Clarkson would make a lot of sense for them given the skill set that he brings to the table.

Milwaukee is lacking shot creation and someone that can score off the dribble. Both are areas of strength for Clarkson, who is one of the best sixth men in the NBA. He is more than capable of being the offensive hub for the second unit as a scoring threat himself and someone that is a capable playmaker.

Clarkson would be a sizable upgrade in that regard on George Hill and Jevon Carter. Milwaukee can at least count on Carter for his defensive presence even if he is limited offensively. He would make for a good backcourt pairing alongside Clarkson and either Pat Connaughton or Grayson Allen on the wing.
