Cleveland Cavaliers Receive: G/F Jaylen Brown
Of course, the Boston Celtics hope it doesn’t come to this. Realistically, it’s a cruel twist of fate.
After all, you can’t blame them for offering Jaylen Brown in exchange for Kevin Durant. Brown is an excellent NBA player, but Kevin Durant is one of the 15 or so best basketball players in the history of the sport.
The Celtics had to explore the opportunity to land him.
Regardless, that opportunity was missed. Now, Brown remains on the roster. If he’s unhappy, it could be a serious problem for the Celtics.

Team chemistry matters. Unhappy players often give less effort on defense, dive for fewer loose balls, and find their open teammates less often. If Brown is sufficiently frustrated, the Celtics could be backed into a corner.
