The Miami Heat are still in both the Kevin Durant and Donovan Mitchell sweepstakes, so they won’t likely make a big move until they know that both superstars are no longer available. If they miss out on landing either of those perennial All-Stars, though, trying to swing a deal for Bojan Bogdanovic wouldn’t be a bad plan B.

Repeatedly in the postseason, the Miami Heat have shown that they need more shot creation and perimeter scoring to land among the true title favorites in the league.

Of course, Kevin Durant and Donovan Mitchell would both be magnificent options to bolster the Heat’s playoff offense. To a lesser scale, Bogdanovic would be a perfect buoy in that regard, as well, and would cost significantly less to acquire.

Bogdanovic has the size and agility to upgrade Miami’s attack while not compromising their defensive integrity. He has the ability to create for himself in a half-court setting, something the Heat desperately need more of alongside Jimmy Butler.

Adding an offensive weapon of Bogdanoivc’s caliber will significantly relieve the offensive burden on JB and will give the Miami Heat another reliable option they can count on to get a bucket towards the end of the shot clock.

As a career 39.2 percent 3-point shooter, he’s plenty capable of playing off the ball and spacing the floor for Butler and Bam Adebayo. He should be able to replicate Duncan Robinson’s role on the offense while supplying more on-ball creation and much better defense.
