The Toronto Raptors were mentioned as one team lurking in the Kevin Durant sweepstakes. Now, it is being reported that it is a little more than lurking, as the organization believes they have the strongest trade package for Durant.
If that is the case, it likely means that OG Anunoby is part of the deal. Anunoby would be an excellent acquisition in a package for Durant for the Brooklyn Nets.
Turning only 25 years old in about two weeks, Anunoby is young enough to lead a rebuild in Brooklyn but brings plenty of experience to help them remain competitive right away.
His ceiling is worth taking a risk on to fit the All-Star caliber player that Brooklyn is looking for as part of the package for Durant. If they can get someone such as Pascal Siakam or Scottie Barnes Jr. along with Anunoby, even better for Brooklyn.

Acquiring Durant would make the Raptors instant contenders in the Eastern Conference. Even if they trade away two rotation players, there is plenty of talent remaining. After all, this is still a team that finished fifth and would be that much more dangerous with him in the lineup.
