Utah Jazz Receive: F/C John Collins, C Clint Capela, G/F Kevin Huerter
Atlanta Hawks Receive: C Rudy Gobert
You’ve probably seen iterations of this deal before. If you regularly read NBA Analysis, we know you have.
That’s only because it makes so much sense. The Hawks could badly use Rudy Gobert’s rim protection. That’s a product of having one of the league’s worst defenders on the floor for heavy minutes every night. Given that that player is Trae Young, the Hawks don’t have much of a choice in the matter.
Gobert would do wonders to offset his ineffectiveness. He’d also be an ideal partner for him in pick-and-roll sets. If the Hawks can assemble this duo, they ought to jump at the opportunity.
Meanwhile, this deal makes the Utah Jazz deeper and more well-rounded. If they are retaining Donovan Mitchell, it gives them a nice opportunity to put a new, talented group around him.

On the other hand, if Mitchell wants out, this deal won’t work for Utah. They’ll be looking for more of a rebuilding package. We’ve got them covered in that event as well.
