Josh Richardson
Remember that low-usage, two-way role player we mentioned?
Richardson typifies the role. He’s not one of the league’s sharpest three-point marksmen, nor is he one of its most lockdown defenders. It’s his competency in both areas that make him an ideal role player.
Interestingly, 2022-23 wouldn’t be Richardson’s first tour of duty in the City of Brotherly Love. Richardson played there in 2019-20, but that team was a mess. The relative immobility of a Joel Embiid / Al Horford frontcourt doomed them to failure from the start.
This team is much more rationally constructed, and Richardson could make for a nice finishing touch. His versatility allows him to log minutes at the 3 and the 2. He might start at small forward for this group, but alternatively, he could come off the bench and fill both positions.

However the Sixers wanted to use him, we’re confident they’d be better off for it. Richardson is a perfect complement to a team that’s already heavy on star power.
