Toronto Raptors Receive: C Steven Adams, G/F Dillon Brooks, 2023 First-Round Pick (MEM), 2025 First-Round Pick (MEM), 2027 First-Round Pick (MEM)
Memphis Grizzlies Receive: F/C Pascal Siakam
Unlike either Jaren Jackson Jr. or Brandon Clarke, Steven Adams is very much a traditional center.
In fact, he’s so much of one that the Grizzlies found him unplayable for some stretches of this year’s postseason. He’s still a productive NBA player who provides interior defense, tough screens, and rebounding.
In other words, he offers much of what the Raptors were missing last year. Of course, the Raptors aren’t doing this deal for Adams. They’re doing it for the draft capital. Still, it’s got an interesting bonus. The Raptors get an opportunity to improve their floor balance while adding three first-round picks in the process.
If they’re interested in staying competitive through a rebuild, this deal could suit them. Rugged 3-and-D wing Dillon Brooks aids that cause as well.

Alternatively, if staying competitive is the aim, and Jackson Jr. is off the table, the Raptors may be able to do better by inviting a third team to the bargaining table.
