Best Landing Spot: Dallas Mavericks
Julius Randle has proven that he is a very good basketball player. He is capable of being the No. 1 option on a solid team but is likely better suited to be the second or third option. Playing alongside an excellent point guard would also help.
As a bonus, that team having an infrastructure already in place to help overcome some of his defensive deficiencies would be nice as well. Returning home would be a cherry on top, and the Dallas Mavericks are one team that can provide him with all of that.
Playing alongside Luka Doncic is good for anyone’s production. The attention that he draws from the opponent’s defenses would create scoring opportunities for Randle that he hasn’t seen in his career.
His efficiency that took a nosedive last season should improve as well. Doncic will find him for spot-up opportunities around the perimeter for wide-open jump shots. Randle playing off the ball could lead to easy looks at the rim as well.

During his last season with the Los Angeles Lakers, Luke Walton seemed to find something with Randle playing at the center spot. In Dallas, he could be the finishing piece for a small-ball lineup that can terrorize opponents. He is skilled enough to take advantage of slower players on the perimeter and too strong for smaller players on the interior.
Landing in Dallas would be an ideal spot for Randle should the Knicks indeed trade him.
