Joe Harris
Many of the criticisms we levied at Buddy Hield in the opening paragraph of the last slide apply to Joe Harris. Scratch that: all of them do.
That’s fine. The Chicago Bulls desperately need shooting. Like Buddy Hield, Harris provides it at an elite level. He’s a career 43.9% shooter. If anything, he’s even more of a specialist than Hield. He may be weaker in all other areas of basketball, but he’s an even sharper shooter.
His availability is uncertain. The Nets may prefer to keep him. If they’re going to prominently feature Ben Simmons throughout 2022-23, Harris is a perfect complement.
On the other hand, the Nets acquired Seth Curry along with Simmons in their deadline James Harden deal. He’s a player in a similar mold. That may render Joe Harris expendable. If the Bulls offered the right package, it’s fair to assume that the Nets would at least listen.

If that’s the case, the Bulls ought to call the Nets and offer the right package.
