In 2022, most elite NBA offenses feature a number of high-quality three-point shooters. Apparently, the Chicago Bulls missed the memo.
The team’s accuracy was great. The 36.9% of three-point attempts they connected on placed fourth in the NBA. Of course, it’s easier to hit a high percentage when you shoot the lowest number of threes in the entire NBA.
That’s exactly what the Bulls did. No team shot fewer than their 28.8 attempts per contest. Partly, that’s a consequence of affording so much offensive responsibility to midrange master DeMar DeRozan.
Still, that excuse doesn’t quite cut it either. The Bulls face a lot of uncertainty this summer. If they don’t retain Unrestricted Free Agent Zach LaVine, this entire article becomes moot.
