1. Donovan Mitchell

There have been some rumors floating around that the Utah Jazz could make some big changes to their roster this offseason. One of those big changes could be trading Donovan Mitchell, who could request a trade after yet another disappointing exit from the postseason.

Should Mitchell ask for a trade, the Miami Heat are certainly a team that will get involved. They are reportedly one of the teams that Mitchell would prefer to land with should that request be placed.

South Beach would be an excellent landing spot for Donovan Mitchell. His scoring prowess is something they could certainly use more of, as he is an offensive dynamo. He has also improved his playmaking in recent seasons and could play some point guard for the Heat should Kyle Lowry continue to struggle.

Defensively, Mitchell leaves something to be desired. He hasn’t unlocked the potential that he came out of Louisville with as a defender, as he has a 6’10” wingspan. If there is any team that will coax that out of him, it is the Eric Spoelstra-coached Miami Heat.

If the Heat is going to unload all of their assets to make a run at a star this offseason, Donovan Mitchell is the player that they should pursue. He is only 25-years old right now and could be the face of the franchise after this current core moves on.
