The Boston Celtics were linked to Huerter during the NBA trade deadline. There were talks of Atlanta packaging Huerter and Cam Reddish for a package that was led by Marcus Smart. This trade was not made at the time but that does not mean that the two sides are done negotiating.
If Huerter is back on the market, the Celtics could take advantage and add some more depth along the perimeter. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown make up an elite duo that has led the Celtics to the top of the Eastern Conference. In today’s NBA, you can never have too many guards.
The Boston Celtics finished in the middle of the pack in the league shooting 35.6% from three-point range. Boston has some room to improve down low but is strong from deep and the midrange – led by Tatum, who is quickly turning into one of the best isolation scorers in the league.
At this point, now that a contract is signed, Huerter might have some value but might not be too expensive for the Celtics.

It would be interesting to see the package that the Boston Celtics would be able to put together for Huerter. He would be able to contribute coming off the bench for a contending team in the Eastern Conference.
