Brooklyn Nets Receive: G Malcolm Brogdon
Indiana Pacers Receive: F Joe Harris, G Patty Mills, G Cam Thomas, 2022 First-Round Pick (via PHI)

The Brooklyn Nets have one of the top point guards in the NBA in Kyrie Irving, but this does not mean that they would not bring in another option.

The intrigue of this deal is that both Kyrie Irving and Malcolm Brogdon can play both positions in the backcourt. Given that Brogdon is a bigger guard, he can play the two spot primarily and provide an all-around complementary impact.

The Nets would be holding onto Ben Simmons in this particular trade scenario — forcing an intriguing core of Kevin Durant, Irving, Brogdon, and Simmons. This all depends on who Brooklyn would want to give up to make a deal happen.

Joe Harris missed time this season but is one of the top shooters in the league. Brooklyn would also sacrifice depth with Patty Mills going to Indiana as well. Cam Thomas and the No. 23 overall pick would be headed to the Pacers, too.

While there isn’t too much intrigue for a rebuilding team to add older role players like Harris and Mills, the Pacers would get off Brogdon’s long-term deal. Later re-routing Harris and Mills is also an option.
