The Brooklyn Nets continue to be one of the best teams in the NBA, despite a disappointing finish to the season.

The Nets were swept out of the first round of the postseason this year by the Boston Celtics. There were many distractions off the floor for the Nets this season.

It began with the COVID-19 vaccine mandates in New York. Kyrie Irving was not allowed to play home games over the course of the season. The mandates were lifted come the postseason but the Nets did not have much time together.

Brooklyn also traded James Harden to the Philadelphia 76ers in a big trade that landed Ben Simmons with the Nets. This was another headache as Simmons was unable to get on the floor.
