Markelle Fultz can relate. He’s one of the least successful number-one picks in recent memory. He’s still only 23. The New York Knicks, in need of a point guard, could gamble on his potential.

Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic are very much not in need of a floor general. In fact, they may be logjammed at the position. Jalen Suggs underwhelmed as a rookie himself, but he still flashed potential. Additionally, Cole Anthony took a tremendous step forward.

If the Magic feel they have a point guard to spare, Fultz for Reddish feels like fair value for both sides. Fultz has performed better than Reddish over the last couple of years when he’s been healthy. Unfortunately, that’s been a relatively rare occurrence.
