Indiana Pacers Receive: G Evan Fournier, F Cam Reddish, 2024 First-Round Pick (NYK)
New York Knicks Receive: G Malcolm Brogdon
If the New York Knicks are hoping to land a higher impact player than Christian Wood in exchange for Cam Reddish, they may have to give up a little more.
Malcolm Brogdon would seem like the perfect acquisition for this club. They’re in dire need of an upgrade at point guard. Derrick Rose is an excellent backup, but at this stage of his career, he’s probably underqualified to be the best point guard on an NBA team.
Brogdon gives them an instant positional boost. His brand of high IQ basketball would be a needed breath of fresh air in Madison Square Garden. This deal gives the Knicks a win-now upgrade. If that’s what they’re in the market for, they’d be wise to pounce on it.
As for the Indiana Pacers, this trade assumes that they’re willing to prolong their rebuild. An intriguing young player like Reddish and an unprotected first-round pick is good value for Brogdon.

Fournier is here to match salaries, but with his annual income being about $4 million less than Brogdon’s, they shave a little money off their cap as well.
This trade should put both the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks in better positions relative to their goals.
