Overall Need At Point Guard
It is not out of the question to say that the New York Knicks have not had an elite point guard for two decades.
Even during the 90s, the team was centered around Patrick Ewing, while John Starks was more of a two-guard. Other than that, the options have been short-lived at the top.
This is not to say that Russell Westbrook is a saving grace long term for the Knicks, but he is better than they have and would bring more star power to the team.
Westbrook needs to be where he can dominate the ball and fill up a stat sheet. He would be able to take over the Knicks and run the offense.
