The New York Knicks struggle to score points. This began during the postseason last year against the Atlanta Hawks and continued this season. 

The inconsistencies of the Knicks were present early and often. Whether it was Randle or Barrett, there was no option for the Knicks at the end of games. They need a player that can get a bucket when the game is on the line. Russell Westbrook played this role for many years in the league despite struggling in Los Angeles.

When looking at the overall depth and ability of New York, it is a strange cast of characters attempting to win games.

Westbrook would bring star power to the offensive end of the floor. He can run an offense and rack up assists. The Knicks could use a guard to set up teammates in a position to be successful.
