The Russell Westbrook experiment was a complete disaster for the Los Angeles Lakers in one NBA season and might be coming to an end.

It is inexcusable to miss the postseason when a team has expectations like the Lakers. That is exactly what happened this season in Los Angeles and there could be some wholesale changes. If this is the case, Westbrook might be in danger of being traded once again.

Since leaving Oklahoma City, Westbrook has been unable to find a consistent home. His game is declining, especially from the outside, which did not help the cause for the Lakers. They struggled with inconsistencies and injuries throughout the season. Anthony Davis has not been able to stay on the floor during his time with the Lakers.

LeBron James continues to be one of the league’s best players but is at the point where he needs a strong supporting cast. When the time comes, the Lakers might have to part ways with Westbrook to bring back some depth on both ends of the floor.
