Oklahoma City Thunder
Like the Orlando Magic, the Oklahoma City Thunder are building with some young talent. The main difference is that the Thunder already have their max player.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander decided to sign a lucrative extension with Oklahoma City. This gives them their centerpiece player for years to come.
Now, it is about putting the right talent around the point guard, both in free agency and the draft. Sam Presti has loaded up on draft capital over the years and it will be used soon.
To acquire Mo Bamba, the Thunder will not have to give anything except a contract. At this point, teams could be interested in giving Bamba a prove-it deal so he can show that he can remain on the floor consistently. He would provide the explosiveness and athleticism down low while Gilgeous-Alexander handled the top of the offense.

This is not a home-run move that would bring the Thunder to the postseason but it is another piece to build around for the future. If he can stay healthy, Bamba has a chance to join Oklahoma City as a foundation piece.
