Move On From Bojan Bogdanovic
Outside of Donovan Mitchell, Bojan Bogdanovic has been a steady offensive weapon for the Utah Jazz all season long, ranking second on the team in points (18.1), third in field goal attempts per game (13.4) and third in three-point shooting percentage (39.2%), min. 200 attempts.
However, Bogdanovic is going to be entering the final year of his contract in the offseason and is set to make $19.5 million.
With Mike Conley still under contract for two more years, trading Bojan Bogdanovic truly is the only way the Jazz can open up enough cap space to possibly make a run at another high-level, All-Star-like talent either in free agency or via a trade with another team.
Donovan Mitchell cannot carry the Jazz by himself and with both Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley being minimal contributors offensively this season, it is very apparent that this team needs another elite-level offensive talent.
LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: It’s Rapidly Nearing Time For Utah Jazz To Blow Up Roster
Bojan Bogdanovic’s upside is limited at 32-years-old and with him having one more year left on his contract, now would be the best time for the Jazz to move him and try to get an upgrade on the wing.
Who they could target is a massive question mark, as Utah is not the most attractive destination in the league for All-Star-quality players, but already having Mitchell and Gobert, the Utah Jazz could possibly pull off a shocking transaction involving Bojan Bogdanovic’s expiring deal.
