Atlanta Hawks Receive: F Harrison Barnes, G/F Justin Holiday, SAC 2022 1st Round Pick (Top-10 Protected)
Sacramento Kings Receive: F John Collins
Moving on from John Collins just one year after his massive extension with the Hawks would seem like a shocking move for Atlanta to make, but it is not hard to believe that he could be the root of some of their issues.
The Hawks have dealt with a lot since they went all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals last season and it seems like things are not alright behind closed doors within this organization right now.
Cam Reddish did not want to be a part of the team anymore, hence why he was traded and now with reports of John Collins being frustrated, there seems to be a “sour” feeling coming from this Hawks’ organization right now.
Maybe his frustrations have just mounted from the Hawks struggles all season long and the injury concerns they have faced, but moving on from John Collins could open up much-needed cap space for the Hawks and maybe they would be able to change their negative attitude that has been looming over them all year long.

Harrison Barnes is a key veteran on the wing that could help them find more consistency offensively and defensively, he is able to hold his own against stronger, taller opponents.
As for Justin Holiday, he would fit right in as a perimeter shooting threat on the wing that has shot 36.4% from deep over the course of his now nine-year NBA career.
In Sacramento, finding that third key option to pair next to Sabonis and Fox will be extremely important for the Kings if they are to finally put an end to their playoff drought.
John Collins has proven that he can be a multi-dimensional threat for Atlanta and next to an All-Star quality big in Domantas Sabonis, the Kings would finally have a really solid core to put pieces around.
