Boston Celtics

They may have started the season out slow, but the Celtics have been one of the best teams in the NBA during the second-half of the year and they have turned themselves into true title contenders with their play on the defensive-end of the floor.

Boston currently ranks first in the league in defensive rating for the season and getting hot at the right time, the Celtics could wind up going on a deep postseason run.

No matter what the rest of the season holds for the Celtics, they will be entering the offseason and free agency looking for ways to add more dynamic two-way players to their second-unit.

TJ Warren definitely does not want to be a bench player, but coming off his foot injury that has sidelined him for over a year, Warren will have to be understanding of the fact that he will once again have to prove himself in this league.

Taking a one-year contract at the mid-level exception or less to help a contending team could be highly beneficial to TJ Warren and he would be the perfect sixth-man-like player for the Boston Celtics because of what he can do on both ends of the floor.

The Celtics have one of the worst benches in the league, immediately giving T.J. Warren a big role in their second-unit and being able to play off of Brown and Tatum would be beneficial to Warren’s opportunities on the offensive-end of the floor.
