What Should The Detroit Pistons Do?
Jerami Grant received a ton of interest at the trade deadline this season and while the Detroit Pistons did not move him, it is hard to overlook the value he carries into the offseason.
Averaging 20.8 points per game in two seasons with the Pistons and entering the final year of his contract, plenty of teams will still be lining up at the door to try and acquire Jerami Grant, as he will be viewed by many playoff-caliber teams as a means to improving their title chances.
Being a factor on both ends of the floor, Jerami Grant is a really solid complementary type of player to put next to All-Star talents and in return, Detroit could land themselves a handful of key assets to continue their rebuild with.
Holding onto Jerami Grant and continuing to build with him is not a bad idea by any means, but the Pistons could get a lot for Grant on the trade market right now since he will enter the offseason as one of the better trade assets around the league.

It makes a little more sense for the Pistons to trade Jerami Grant in the offseason than hold onto him, especially since they are not going to be contending for a playoff spot next season.
Detroit is at least 3-4 years away from potentially being an actual threat in a loaded Eastern Conference, which is why continuing to gather young, versatile prospects to put around talents like Cade Cunningham and Saddiq Bey makes the most sense.
