The year the Bulls have had so far has been quite remarkable given where they were as a franchise last season and their three All-Stars in Zach LaVine, Nikola Vucevic, and DeMar DeRozan have this team ready to compete for an NBA title.
Currently 39-26 on the season, the Bulls are 1.5 games back from the 3-seeded Bucks in the Eastern Conference standings and they are well on their way to their first winning season since they were 41-41 during the 2016-17 season.
Having one of the league’s most efficient offenses and one of the best scoring talents this year in DeMar DeRozan, the Bulls could wind up making some noise in the playoffs.
However, they will head into the offseason looking for ways to improve their roster, as their bench has been weak this season and other teams in the Eastern Conference do have a little bit more talent than them.

Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso and Patrick Williams missing large chunks of the season definitely factors into a lot of the Bulls’ struggles on their bench and defensively, but Chicago still seems like they are one piece away from being the top team in the Eastern Conference.
While they did not make any big moves at the trade deadline this season, Chicago was rumored to show some interest in Pistons’ forward Jerami Grant, interest that could once again pop back up in the offseason with Grant entering the final year of his contract.

Let’s take a look at an offseason trade idea involving the Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons that sends Jerami Grant to Chicago.
