Does this trade make sense for the Washington Wizards?

The Washington Wizards should not be looking to trade Bradley Beal whatsoever in the offseason, but his future is in his own hands at this point. 

Beal will likely opt out of his $36 million player option in the offseason and look to work on getting that max deal from the Wizards that would pay him upwards of $240 million over the next five years. 

Figuring out the details of a sign-and-trade with this kind of deal is near impossible, but the 76ers do have Tobias Harris’ large contract to send in a trade to make things balance out. 

Tyrese Maxey would be a huge addition for the Wizards should they lose Beal and adding more youthful depth in Jaden Springer is not a bad idea either.

In terms of getting assets back, this is a very fair deal for the Wizards, but certainly not a scenario they hope comes true. 

Bradley Beal is the face of the Washington Wizards right now and while they may miss the playoffs, Washington needs to do everything they can to assure Beal they are trending in the right direction. 

The acquisition of Kristaps Porzingis and the breakout performances by Kyle Kuzma this season may not be enough, which is why the Wizards may need to pursue another key talent in the offseason to appease Bradley Beal.
