Philadelphia 76ers Receive: G/F Bradley Beal, G Ish Smith, BOS 2023 2nd Round Pick (Top-45 Protected)
Bradley Beal trade talks have been rumored for quite some time now and recently, former NBA player Andrew Bogut added to the speculation about Beal’s future.
On his “Rogue Bogues” podcast recently, Bogut stated that not only do the 76ers want to pursue Bradley Beal, but that rumor has it that Beal would like to team up with Harden and Embiid in Philadelphia.
“I’ve heard a pretty big rumor … from some people that are pretty close to the situation in the NBA: Big three to Philly. Brad Beal is trying to get to Philadelphia in the offseason to team up with Harden and Embiid,” Bogut said. “Philly’s desperate, obviously, to try to get off Harris, anyway. They have been for a while. And I think they’re even more desperate now to free up that cap space somehow. It will most likely have to be a sign-and-trade with Philly. But don’t be surprised if a big three forms in Philly. That’s the word on the street.”
Expected to see a massive contract extension of five-years worth upwards of $240 million this upcoming offseason, pursuing Bradley Beal would be extremely tough for the 76ers to do.

However, Tobias Harris and his $37.6 million owed next year could be the key to everything.
Getting out of this contract and pairing Harris with Maxey, Springer and draft picks could be enough for the Wizards to trade Bradley Beal, especially if he truly does want to get out of Washington and go to Philadelphia.
Maxey and Springer give the Wizards two young backcourt pieces to utilize for the future growth of their organization and while he is not an All-Star talent, Tobias Harris is still a key scoring weapon on offense.
In Philadelphia, pairing Bradley Beal with James Harden and Joel Embiid instantly makes the 76ers the best offensive team in the league because of how skilled of scorers these three guys are.

All three All-Stars are always amongst the league-leaders in scoring and together, it would be almost impossible for opposing teams to stop them because of the fact that these guys all usually get double-teamed when the ball is in their hands late in games.
Now playing together, Beal, Embiid and Harden would be able to play one-on-one, almost guaranteeing themselves a basket every single position.
This is a dream scenario for the 76ers, but a trade like this would not be simple. It would most definitely involve at least one other team and for cap reasons, the 76ers may not be able to make this trade a reality.
