Frank Vogel – Los Angeles Lakers
All the blame for the Lakers’ misfortunes this season cannot be put on Frank Vogel, as the front office deserves a ton of blame for the bad roster they have assembled, but Vogel has made some questionable decisions all year long.
Between benching Russell Westbrook at times, to keeping DeAndre Jordan in the rotations, to even drawing criticism for his matchups defensively with Carmelo Anthony and others, nothing has seemed to go right for the Lakers head coach.
Currently, 27-31 on the season, the once predicted champions of this season are on the cusp of missing the playoffs entirely!
Los Angeles currently finds themselves as the 9-seed in the Western Conference and four games in front of the 11-seeded Portland Trail Blazers, but things are going to get very tough for Frank Vogel and the Lakers from here on out with Anthony Davis out again.

Davis had missed close to a month of action earlier in the season due to a sprained left MCL and in Wednesday night’s game against the Utah Jazz, the All-Star big man appeared to suffer a significant right ankle injury after landing awkwardly on Jazz center Rudy Gobert’s foot.
The team has since confirmed that Anthony Davis’ x-rays were negative, but judging his reaction and how the injury looked, we may not see Davis back out on the floor for the Lakers anytime soon.
Now, they are left with just LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and a bunch of older players that really do not have the durability to withstand the top teams they are about to face down the home stretch of their schedule.

Should the Lakers miss the playoffs entirely, not only could we see a change in leadership in the front office, but this roster could be torn apart and Frank Vogel will likely be gone for this debacle as well.
Nothing has gone right for the Los Angeles Lakers this season and it is hard to envision a scenario in which Frank Vogel is able to take himself off the “hot seat” this season.
