Paul Millsap
Paul Millsap wasn’t getting as much playing time with the Brooklyn Nets as he had hoped when he signed with them in free agency. So, they included him as part of the blockbuster deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, along with James Harden, with Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond and two first-round picks heading to Brooklyn.
While there are minutes available in the frontcourt behind Joel Embiid, it sounds like Millsap could be bought out and choose his next destination. The Chicago Bulls were a popular landing spot, as reports indicated that was where he wanted to land ahead of the trade deadline.
But, he won’t have a hard time finding a new home should the 76ers buy him out. Millsap will land with the Golden State Warriors if he does not remain in Philadelphia. Golden State was one of the teams that pursued him in the offseason before he opted to sign with the Nets.
Millsap is a perfect fit for Golden State as a combo big man off the bench. He can provide minutes at power forward and center. His skill set would help them diversify their frontcourt as well, as he can spread the floor a little bit. None of the other big men on the roster currently are a threat to shoot the ball from distance.
