DeAndre Jordan
DeAndre Jordan is likely hoping that the Los Angeles Lakers don’t find a player willing to join their team on the buyout market. If the Lakers find someone to sign, that means a player on the roster has to be released. Kent Bazemore and Jordan have been the most popular names that Los Angeles could move on from.
Bazemore would have no trouble finding a new home. He has struggled this season but knocked down 40 percent of his 3-pointers with the Golden State Warriors last season. Jordan, on the other hand, doesn’t have any positive contributions to the court recently.
He was benched by the Brooklyn Nets near the end of the 2020-21 season and didn’t play a single second in the postseason. He started for the Lakers at the beginning of the season but has only made four appearances in 2022.
If he is bought out by the Lakers, his market will be ice cold. There isn’t a contending team that he would be able to provide positive minutes for. The only thing that Jordan really brings to the table at this point is some veteran leadership and experience.

A team such as the Charlotte Hornets could probably use that. The Toronto Raptors could use some depth at the center spot as well. He won’t receive a rotation spot but could chase a ring with a team such as the Milwaukee Bucks or Miami Heat as well.
