Chicago Bulls
Next to the Heat at the top of the Eastern Conference are the Chicago Bulls, but injuries could really hurt the Bulls’ chances of being special this season.
Alex Caruso, Lonzo Ball, Derrick Jones Jr. and Patrick Williams are all out for an extended period of time for Chicago, leaving their secondary talent and bench very thin.
Upgrading talent behind Nikola Vucevic in the frontcourt is something the Bulls have been looking to do ahead of the deadline, but they have no big trade exceptions, nor do they have many tradable assets.
However, they do have a $5 million TPE that P.J. Washington’s salary could fit into and the Bulls could be willing to deal third-year guard Coby White. With Caruso and Ball out, it is unlikely that the Bulls will move on from Coby White right now, but his name has popped up in trade talks earlier in the season.

Maybe they will not even have to get rid of White and they could instead trade someone like Troy Brown Jr. and a future draft pick for P.J. Washington.
The Bulls have options on how they want to approach the trade deadline and going after someone like Washington makes complete sense for them, especially since they do not have a reliable frontcourt talent on their bench right now.
